Chardonnay Sicilia DOC “Conte Hugues” produced by Tenuta Rapitalà is a white wine that enhances the versatility and elegance of the Chardonnay grape variety, perfectly adapted to the Sicilian terroir. This wine is a wonderful example of how an international grape variety can express itself in a unique and distinctive way in Sicily, thanks to the climatic conditions and soil of the island.
Visually, Count Hugues is bright straw yellow in color, with greenish highlights suggesting freshness and vibrancy. On the nose, the wine offers a rich and complex bouquet, with notes of white-fleshed fruit, such as apple and pear, enriched by nuances of white flowers, vanilla and a light touch of toastiness, the result of the elegant passage in barrique.
On the palate, this Chardonnay proves rich and creamy, yet at the same time surprisingly fresh and balanced. Ripe fruit flavors meld with notes of butter and vanilla, with subtle minerality adding complexity and a long, lingering finish.
